Desert Plants of Israel
On this day, we will delve into the fascinating world of desert plants and uncover their secrets. We will begin with a short introduction to the plant world, then move on to the unique characteristics of desert regions and review the vegetation landscapes of the deserts of Israel and its surroundings. Finally, we will discuss the remarkable adaptations of the desert plants to extreme and unpredictable dry conditions, and present the diversity of the desert plants in Israel and the surrounding region.
During the day the tour guides will share with the participants the most unique places in the Negev and Judean Desert
The training will be concluded in the desert conservatory at the botanical gardens, where we will be able to observe firsthand the unique biological diversity of desert plants.
